On June 3rd multiple bass over 5 pounds were weighed in. The best was Jeff England's 6.76 large mouth pictured above which edged him into first place with 15.37lbs, just ahead of Mike Forrester and Chris Leathers with 15.225lbs. Season leaders, Alex Smeraglia and Paul Renda, finished third with 13.91lbs. The Friday Night Contests at Lake Purdy are catch and release. We want to keep these big bass alive and well for all to catch in the future, that is why we require participants to have at least a 48 quart, aerated cooler like the one pictured above to hold their fish until they are weighed and released.
