June 10th was another great night for the Friday Night Bass Contest at Lake Purdy. The average size bass for the 2022 season is 1.87lb to date compared to 1.73lb last season at this point. In fact this is the best average over the past six years we have been keeping records. Jeff England and Tony Marlowe, pictured at top, won with a total weight of 14.6lbs including the big fish of 5.135lbs. The father and Son team of Sam and Sammy Hartzog were close behind with a limit of 14.1lbs and a big fish of 5.115lbs. The Hartzogs, in their first year of the Friday Night series, have been impressive, consisting catching quality fish, good enough for third in the season standings. Next week will be the half way point for the season, still time to join up. Complete rules are at lakepurdyfishing.com
