What We Rent
Lake Purdy features Pontoon Boats for Family fun on the water.
For fishing, we rent Bass Boats with trolling motor, fish finder, steering wheel and live well .
We also rent Weld-Craft Aluminum Fishing boats equipped with 9.8 hp Outboards.
For those who have their own motors and equipment, you can rent our Boats without a motor, all day for $20.
We have Stand Up Paddle Boards and Sit-On-Top Kayaks for wet summer paddling fun.(swimming suits recommended) .
All boats include life jackets for all passengers and a paddle. All motorized boats include a full tank of gas included in the rental price. Anchors do not come with the boats, but we sell them separately in the shop!

We have a fully stocked Tackle Store with all the Equipment you need to go fishing today, including the hottest baits currently effective on Lake Purdy for our famous lunker bass, crappie, bream and catfish.
We also carry the best selection of Live Bait in central Alabama including three sizes of minnows, three types of live worms, crickets and livers. We also carry a large selection of food and drinks, ice, sun screen, bug spray and hats and apparel.
Just about anything you need for a great day on the water!
About us
Lake Purdy is a state water reservoir with some of the cleanest water in the state. In order to keep the water as clean as possible, no outside boats are allowed on the lake. Fish are great to eat! Bank fishing is free, and we have lots of fishing equipment to purchase, live and artificial bait, and boats for rent. Come relax and enjoy yourself on this beautiful lake! Catch some good ones and get your picture on our wall of fame and Instagram!
LIVE BAIT sold daily. Minnows: Tuffies, Medium Shiners & Large Shiners. Red worms, Night Crawlers, Meal worms, Crickets, Rooster Livers. We remodeled our bait room with larger holding tanks for our minnows, so we can keep more in stock.
Went out with my friends on Memorial Day. We reserved two pontoon boats. The check in and out process were so simple and the staff was friendly and the boats were very clean. Can’t wait to go back!

This was the perfect mid day getaway, very reasonable prices for the boat rentals, grab a couple of your friends and take the boat out for a few hours just have a blast in the sun. Knowledgeable and easy-going staff too
